SPCAD license Management

Managing SPCAD Licenses: License Manager & Dashboard

Easily manage your SPCAD licenses with the License Manager and Dashboard. This guide explains how floating licenses work, how to assign or unassign them, and how to track license usage across machines. Follow these steps to ensure seamless access to SPCAD while efficiently managing your available licenses.

Understanding Floating Licenses

SPCAD licenses are floating, meaning:

  • A single license can be assigned to up to 5 machines, but only one machine can use it at a time.
  • To use SPCAD, you must assign a license to your machine.

License Manager – Assigning & Unassigning Licenses

The License Manager allows you to assign and unassign licenses in SPCAD easily.

How to Log In to the License Manager

  1. Open your CAD and type LICMAN_SP in the command line OR access it from the SPCAD dropdown menu.
  2. A login window will appear.
  3. Enter your registered email and password, then click Sign In.
  4. A 5-digit activation code will be sent to your email.
  5. Copy the code, paste it in SPCAD, and click Sign In again.

Assigning a License

  • The License Manager shows a pool of 5 licenses (if available).
  • Click the green button next to a license to assign it.
  • Once assigned, the green button disappears, and the license appears with a red button, meaning it is in use.
Now, you can close the License Manager and start using SPCAD.

Unassigning a License

To unassign a license, log in to the License Manager the same way as mentioned above. Only one license will be available, shown with a red button, indicating it is in use.

  • Click the red button next to the assigned license.
  • Confirm the unassignment.
  • The license will return to the available pool, and the green buttons will reappear.
